Beach Break : What I Wore

Quite a lot of you were interested in seeing what I wear to festivals, especially after I posted my Beach Break Live 2011 pictures on here, so here you go!

As I said on my How To Survive Festivals post, I really think festival fashion is all about, fun, bright accessories. Floral headbands are definitely one of these. You see them on everyone's head, every year, but you still end up buying them. This year was no exception and I am glad I decided to wear mine on the first day, before everyone else did. As for the bracelets, I got a few sets from H&M for a few pounds and wore them all weekend with my Beach Break wristband. I also brought with me a bright pink pair of sunglasses from Primark and some black Wayfarers that my sister got me a few years ago. Haute Couture A/W11 Favourites

It seems that everyone has already blogged about the couture shows and no matter what I write, you will have read it many times before. To save you some time, I will just post a few of my personal favourites. Surprisingly enough, I didn't really enjoy Chanel. I usually find Karl Lagerfeld's work fascinating, especially his couture work, but I found it a bit disappointing this time. I cannot quite point out what it was, but it just didn't do anything for me. Instead, here are the looks that really caught my eye this season .

Made In England

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I am now officially a university graduate. I wanted to get myself something to celebrate and is there any better way to end a year in England than to treat yourself to some Mulberry goodies? I don't think so! It just happened that the factory shop was on my way and after reading about it online, I was more than curious to check what it was about. They actually had a lot of stock, including some past season items, but also some more recent ones although they didn't have any  Tillie for me to grab. Smaller items were up to 30% off, whereas bags were about 15% off. The only thing that was heavily discounted was the damaged section, but unfortunately nothing really caught my eye. I would still recommend you go, if only to get some delicious cake from their cute little café.

The first thing I picked up was a small Concertina purse. I absolutely love the gold hardware, and although it doesn't have any card slots, it is actually really roomy. I got it to use when I go out since it is so small, it fits in all my clutches and doesn't look bulky at all. I also bought a Long Locked Purse for my sister, but I gave it to her later that day, so I don't have any pictures of it. 

My next purchase was a leopard Mitzy pouch in the colour Grape. I've been wanting it for ages, so I was so excited to see they had it. The leather is so nice and thick, and the colour really makes it stand out.

Mulberry Resort 2012 Collection

Emma Hill sure knows what we want to be wearing this summer :  girly dresses, flowers, bright pink and  light denim. This collection ticks all the boxes. It is fun and fresh, but still has this Mulberry signature look to it. The three new handbags for this season - Effie, Harriet and Evelina - are the perfect arm candy and are sure to be seen on the likes of Sienna Miller or Alexa Chung in absolutely no time.

Beach Break Live

.

If I was to write about Beach Break festival, I'd just say it was amazing. I had the best time with my friends, laughing, enjoying the music, the sun, the food, the drinks, and the whole atmosphere. If you are interested in seeing what I wore, there will be another post on that soon, but for now I'll just leave you to enjoy Beach Break Live 2011 through my lense.
