Morocco Photo Diary

After moving apartments and finishing university, I was dying for a celebratory getaway with the girls and getting away from the hustle and bustle of London is just what SarahMichelleSarahTanya and I did when we found ourselves jetting off to Morocco for the weekend.

Our destination? The charming seaside town of Essaouira and Dar Lazuli, an incredible 200-year-old riad right in the middle of the Medina. With its bright colour accents, breathtaking roof terrace and luminous courtyard, it was the perfect place for agirls' holiday. We had the best time dancing to old school Madonna on the rooftop, sipping on Pina Coladas, watching the sunset, getting pampered in the hammam, learning how to cook a typical Moroccan couscous, walking barefoot on the beach and just discovering the Souiri way of life, thanks to our amazing guides and housekeepers of Dar Lazuli, Rachid and Lafita and our friendly night guard, Abdelkader.

Essaouira wasn't anything like we expected it to be - it was even better!

I'd like to say a huge thank you to the lovely team at Dar Lazuli who treated us like princesses and made this weekend unforgettable. If you are ever considering going to Essaouira, don't look any further than Dar Lazuli - I personally wouldn't stay anywhere else.
