The Graduate

I DID IT! After two years of hard work, I finally graduated with a masters degree in Fashion Journalism, from Central Saint Martins. All of a sudden, the long hours spent in the library, the time spent in the studio observing tomorrow's next hit designers and the tears didn't matter so much. Sure, those past two years have been some of the toughest years of my life, but seeing the proud look on my family's faces made it all worth it.

Oh, and the hat, of course! If you follow me on Twitter, you know I made the most of the mortar hat emoji on the day. Truth is, I never thought I would get to wear one. Graduating is a very subdued affair, back in France. You get your grades via email, go to your university's main office with your ID, sign a piece of paper and that's it. No 'Congratulations!', no fuss and certainly, no hat. In fact, I only just picked up my BA certificate this summer. I graduated in 2011. This gives you an idea of how excited I was to have a whole day to celebrate, this time around.

I came home from my Headmasters blow-dry to the most wonderful surprise from my family - bubbles, treats and presents. I really wasn't expecting anything so seeing all the work my sister had put in was incredible. I mean, she made the chocolate cupcake toppers herself! After indulging in a few mimosas and chocolate-covered strawberries, we then got ready to head off to the Royal Festival Hall, on the Southbank.

Between catching up with my classmates, taking an insane amount of pictures and of course, walking across the stage without pulling a Naomi, the rest of the day flew by. We ended it at Benugo, for some more bubbly, cocktails and a delicious meal.

And if you can't be bothered to read all of the above, let me sum it up in a few words: BEST. DAY. EVER!

I'll leave you with a few pictures of the day. Stay tuned to see what I wore under the robe!

Wondering what was inside those beautifully wrapped presents? Well, it was a brand new Canon 700D and a tripod - I really do have the best family! Now I'm all set to start filming YouTube videos, what would you like to see on my channel
