A couple of weeks ago I covered my friend Jessica's music video for her song "Dream It Alive", filmed by the very talented Tom Murray and assisted by Joe French. I really like what came out of it, and apparently I am not the only one since the BBC is going to broadcast the video in the centre of Plymouth twice a day, for six weeks this summer, so if you happen to live there, look out for it!
And so do I! The collection finally hit the American stores this morning and will soon be available worldwide. How exciting! From the very first videos, I knew this could be a promising collaboration, and it is! Now, what I really want to see in my closet are the accessories and the blazer, although I would not say no to any of these lovely dresses or this skirt. Who would anyway! So while I am waiting for the line to be launched on this side of the world, I thought I would share my favourites pieces with you.
Concerning the couture pieces that were introduced during the Lanvin for H&M fashion show, they are already up for auction, along with five signed original Alber Elbaz sketches. All profits will go to the UNICEF All For Children Project. You can find some more information on their website, www.lavinforHM.com, but don't worry! If you can't afford any of this, you can still help! Indeed, Alber Elbaz also came out with a special organic cotton bag, and 30% of its price will be donated to the charity. It is already available in all H&M stores across the United States and Canada and will be available for the rest of the world on the 23rd. I don't know about you, but I am definitely buying one of these!
Do you have your eye on something? Feel free to share what your favourite pieces from the collection are in the comments below, I'd love to hear it!
22 years ago, my parents decided to call me Elodie. Born and raised on the French Riviera, I am now living in London where I interned for some well-known British publications including The Times, Stylist, Company and Marie Claire. I am now studying Fashion Journalism at Central Saint Martins and my life is a fair mix of everything you can find on this blog - and so much more!
