ELLE Fashion Internship

Take a quick look at my blog and you will immediately notice how much I love ELLE. What you may not know is that I am graduating in a couple of months and although I am planning on doing a post-grad in Fashion Journalism, I am taking a year out of university to get work experience and internships.

In their February issue ELLE is offering a lucky reader the chance to win a 6-month fashion internship at ELLEuk.com. Here is a snippet of my entry :

___________________"Put your camel coat back on the hanger and your chunky knits away
_______________  ___at the back of your wardrobe : Spring is just around the corner. And
_______________    __ if like me you're burning to reach for those sundresses but don't feel
______________  ____ quite ready to let go of your studded belts and leather booties just yet,
______________  ____ you're in for a treat. D&G may have mastered the flowery look this
______________  ____ season, but it doesn’t mean you have to be all sweet. Quite the opposite,
______________  ____ in fact, for this season is all about pairing girly pieces with edgy
______________  ____ accessories. Get inspired by the Burberry show and mix chiffon dresses
______________  ____ with leather and metallic tones. Or simply play with hair and make up
______________  ____ instead. You don’t have to die your hair a flaming red to replicate
______________  ____ Mulberry’s S/S11 signature look. Messy bed hair or a dark smoky eye
______________  ____  as seen on the Chanel catwalk will do the trick. Recreate the look with
______________  ____  Chanel Les Ombres Perlées eyeshadows, a limited edition palette for
______________  ____ Spring 2011. So if you were about to put away that gorgeous pair of
______________  ____ Céline leather shorts, think twice… They could well be a spring staple
______________  ____  in your wardrobe."

Lindsey Wixson x Chanel

If you were looking for a way to toughen up your spring wardrobe, don't look any further. Inspired by the dark smoky eyes that could be seen on their show, Chanel came out with a splendid spring makeup collection which includes the limited edition Les Ombres Perlées de Chanel eyeshadow palette, Le Vernis nail varnish in Black Pearl and the Rouge Allure lipstick in Flamboyante. If you haven't been blessed with Lindsey's gorgeous lips and thus feel like a bright red pout isn't for you, go for a nude lipstick which is a lot more wearable, but still creates the same effect. SORTED!

Merry Christmas

Remember when I told you how much I loved the blazer from the Lanvin for H&M collection? Well, I couldn't find it anywhere until I went to Paris where there was only one left. Needless to say, I took it straight to the till with me and it is now hanging in my closet. Sweet! I also got the clutch for my sister. I loved it, but she loved it even more and it is Christmas after all. Merry Christmas Steph!

Another thing that I came back with were these Hunter boots. I've always wanted some but I couldn't justify buying them since I was living in one of the sunniest places in France. Santa must know I moved to the United Kingdom since they were waiting for me under the Christmas tree this year. What a nice surprise! I cannot wait to wear them.

Paris When It Sizzles

I'm back! I guess I could write about my Christmas but I'd rather let the pictures speak for themselves. Overall, I had a great time, too much food and good laughs. The Christmas window displays in Paris were incredible! Some of them were even designed by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. How cool!
